Emma slumped on the ugly pink couch in Regina’s hotel room and waited for the retching sounds to stop…
Regina was drunk to the point of stupid. Totally stupid, but not quite black-out stupid. Emma tapped her phone on her leg and hummed an annoying pop song that had played over and over again on her car radio during her drive to Boston.
Just for shits and giggles, Emma changed her ring tone. It was now the tone from Dexter’s intro. She snickered. Then, for even more roaring, insane fun, she changed the sound that her text made to a cat howling.
A cat howled ten seconds later.
